The Bighorn River and Bighorn Lodge offers a magnitude of fishing experiences and is located in a very private setting stream side with no distractions from road traffic or people traffic. As a guest you have the luxury of walking a very short distance down to the river’s edge and wade one of the better riffles on the river and fish to rising trout.
The Bighorn has very limited river access. Being a guest allows you access to the river from a private river frontage and a boat landing. A truly unique and valuable feature on this fiver. You may choose to fish a five acre pond for trout or try your luck on the Large Mouth Bass that inhabit it’s waters. Bass over six pounds. It’s my belief that one day one of our guests will catch and surpass the state record bass record of seven pounds, two ounces.
Either way you can enjoy the quiet solitude and become part of the mystic of the Bighorn River. It’s truly self rewarding to find yourself surrounded in the beautiful setting, stream side, catching and releasing trout back into the wild. I might add, not all trout are released back into the wild, at your descretion, more often than not you will find yourself retying a new leader onto your fly line. Making memories of the big one that got away. The Bighorn has very limited river access. Being our guest allows you access to the river from our private river frontage and our own boat landing.
