Saltwater

NORTH SABINE Trout are fair to good on red shad Norton Sand Eels, Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Hogie's and topwaters in three to five feet of water. Redfish are fair to good on live or cut bait on the north end of the lake.

SOUTH SABINE Trout are fair to good from the pier at night on shrimp and jigs. Redfish are fair to good on shrimp on the Reef and on the shorelines. Flounder are fair to good at North and South Levee Road on mud minnows and Bass Assassins. BOLIVAR Trout are fair in Rollover Pass on live shrimp and pumpkinseed Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Hogie's. Flounder are fair to good in the Pass on mud minnows and jigs tipped with shrimp. Whiting and croaker are good on shrimp on the beachfront. T

RINITY BAY Trout are fair on shell reefs on live shrimp and red shad and strawberry/white Hogie's, Bass Assassins and Sand Eels. Redfish, black drum, sheepshead and croaker are fair to good on shrimp at the Spillway.

EAST GALVESTON BAY Trout and redfish are good on the shorelines for waders throwing Top Dogs, Super Spooks and Corkies. Trout are good on live shrimp on Hannas Reef. Trout are fair to good in the Bolivar Pocket on glow and pepper/chartreuse plastics.

WEST GALVESTON BAY Trout and redfish are fair to good on the south shoreline on Top Dogs and Catch 2000s. Flounder are fair to good in the cuts on mud minnows and shrimp. Kingfish and red snapper are beginning to show up offshore.

TEXAS CITY Trout and redfish are fair to good from the pier at the end of the dike on live shrimp. Black drum, gafftop, sand trout and croaker are fair to good from the dike on fresh dead shrimp.

FREEPORT Trout are fair at the jetty on live shrimp under a popping cork. Trout and redfish are fair to good on the reefs in Christmas and Bastrop Bays on shrimp. EAST

MATAGORDA Trout are fair on the south shoreline on topwaters, Corkies, Bass Assassins, Sand Eels, Trout Killers and live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on the west shoreline on live shrimp and chartreuse plastics.

MATAGORDA Trout are fair to good on the shorelines on pepper/chartreuse Bass Assassins, Norton Sand Eels, Trout Killers and Eel Diablos. Redfish are fair to good on gold and silver spoons and soft plastics. Best bite has been in the afternoon on the incoming tide. Redfish and black drum are good from the jetty pier on live bait. PORT

O'CONNOR Trout are fair to good on the shorelines from Pringle to Contee on black and rootbeer/chartreuse Hogie's, Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and She Dogs. Redfish are fair to good on the flats and at Grass Island on live shrimp under a popping cork and topwaters. Redfish and sheepshead are good at the jetty on shrimp.

ROCKPORT Trout and redfish are good on Long Reef on live shrimp under a popping cork. Redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats and in South Bay on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good on the flats for drifters throwing black or red soft plastics and live shrimp.

PORT ARANSAS Trout and redfish are fair to good at the jetty on live shrimp and mullet. Black drum and whiting are good from the beachfront piers on shrimp. Red snapper and kingfish are good offshore.

CORPUS CHRISTI Trout, redfish and black drum are good on live bait around the causeway and in Nueces Bay. Black drum, croaker, whiting and gafftop are good from the beachfront piers on fresh dead shrimp. BAFFIN BAY Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp under a rattling cork. Redfish are fair to good on the Yarborough Flats on live shrimp. Black drum and redfish are good in the Land Cut on shrimp.

PORT MANSFIELD Trout are fair to good in Gladis Hole on bone Top Dogs and live shrimp. Trout and redfish are good while drifting the Pipeline and the Saucer on chartreuse and bone Top Dogs, Super Spooks and bone Bass Assassins.

SOUTH PADRE Trout and redfish are fair in protected waters around Airport Cove on live shrimp and topwaters. Redfish and trout are good on the Gas-Well Flats on live shrimp and pumpkinseed Hogie's.

PORT ISABEL Trout and redfish are fair to good around Three Islands on topwaters, spoons and live shrimp. Trout and black drum are fair to good in the Intracoastal on live shrimp and mullet.

 
Freshwater

ALAN HENRY Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 6.2' low; Black bass to 10 pounds are good on live bait, dark jigs, watermelon red flake soft plastics, and shad-colored spinnerbaits near structure. Spawning bass fair off secondary points in clear water at 15 - 25 ft. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs.

AMISTAD Water clear; 71 degrees; Black bass to 8 pounds are good on watermelon seed or watermelon/red soft plastics, super flukes, and spinnerbaits around grass in 10 - 15 feet. Striped bass are good on slabs, Road Runners, and striper jigs throughout the day, and on topwaters early and late. White bass are good on slabs, Road Runners, and striper jigs up the Rio Grande. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cheesebait in 5 – 10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

ARROWHEAD Water clearing; 65 degrees; 11.2' low; Black bass are fair on crankbaits and spinnerbaits near shallow rocky areas. Crappie are fair on minnows near derricks and east side bridge areas. White bass are fair on shad-colored crankbaits off windy, rocky points. Blue catfish are good on shad and large shiners in shallows in the upper end. Due to low water conditions, the only usable boat ramp is West Arrowhead Park.

ATHENS Water fairly clear; 64-68 degrees; Black bass are fair to good on white/chartreuse tail trick worms, spinnerbaits, and Carolina-rigged green lizards. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse Road Runners. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

BASTROP Water murky; Black bass are fair on black/blue soft plastics and white spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

BAYLOR Water lightly stained; 58 degrees; Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are slow.

BELTON Water stained to murky; 57 degrees; Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good down-rigging and on live shad. White bass are excellent on spoons, slabs, minnows, and topwaters. Crappie are fair on minnows and small shad. Channel and blue catfish are good on dead shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

BOB SANDLIN Water lightly stained; 65-68 degrees; 0.1’ high; Black bass are good on Senkos, spinnerbaits, and black/blue lizards in 2 – 6. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and nightcrawlers.

BRAUNIG Water murky; Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and white spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are fair on striper jigs and live bait. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Red drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BRIDGEPORT Water fairly clear; 67-69 degrees; 13.66’ low; Black bass are fair on white/chartreuse spinnerbaits and soft plastic lizards or worms in the coves and on the points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. Catfish are fair to good on liver and cut shad.

BROWNWOOD Water murky; Black bass are fair on watermelon seed spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps, and silver spoons. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on striper jigs and Charlie slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN Water clear; 67 degrees; 1018.06’; Black bass are good on blue glimmer Snap Back jerkbaits, watermelon/chartreuse Whacky Sticks, and Rat-L-Traps in feeder creeks in 3 - 8 feet. Striped bass to 14 pounds are good trolling Hyper Striper jigs and tight-lining live bait, with limited early morning topwater action. White bass are fair on Spin Traps, Pirk Minnows, and Lit'l Fishes. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are good. Yellow and blue catfish are fair to good.

CADDO Water stained; 70 degrees; 1’ low; Black bass are fair on white spinnerbaits, Pop R’s, black/blue lizards, and pumpkinseed flukes. White and yellow bass are good on crawfish and spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 6 feet. Catfish are good on limb lines with prepared bait. Bream are hard to find, but good when found on Canadian nightcrawlers.

CALAVERAS Water murky; Black bass are fair on chrome Rat-L-Traps, white spinnerbaits, and watermelon/red Carolina-rigged soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on striper jigs and shad. Red drum are fair on live bait. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cheesebait and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE Water clear lower end, murky upper end; 68 degrees; 910’; Black bass are good to very good on white 7/16oz. tungsten spinnerbaits, Bleeding Shiner Rat-L-Traps, and pumpkin/chartreuse ringworms along buckbrush and vertical timber in 5 - 8 feet. Striped bass are fair on white Snap Back jerkbaits on jigheads and Rat-L-Traps at creek and main channel intersections in 30 - 50 feet at first light. White bass are fair to good on In-Line spinnerbaits, blue back Spoiler Shads, and chrome Tiny Traps along main lake points at daylight. Smallmouth bass are very good on white tungsten spinnerbaits, watermelon/red Craw Tubes, and pumpkin Sliding Weight Craw Fish, Jr. along 5 - 10 foot break lines. Crappie are fair on white 1/32oz. Curb's jigs, silver Swirltail grubs, and live minnows tight to trees and brushes. Yellow and blue catfish are fair.

CEDAR CREEK Water stained; 66-69 degrees, 1.54’ low; Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and flukes in 2 - 6 feet. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. White bass are good on slabs and Little George’s. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on juglines with cutbait.

CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 73 degrees; 220.59'; Black bass to 9 pounds are excellent on watermelon/red flake YUM Houdini Shad and YUM Dingers among hardwoods, submerged buckbrush, and huisache bushes in submerged hydrilla beds in 6 - 15 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows and white, yellow, or chartreuse/blue crappie jigs along willow trees lining the main river and creek channels and around the Mason Point boat ramp area. Channel and blue catfish to 13 pounds are very good on cheesebait, chicken livers, and Catfish JuJu around stickups and hardwoods and on edges of hydrilla in 8 - 15 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with live perch, minnows, and goldfish set near river and creek channels in 20 - 30 feet. COLEMAN Water clear; 70 degrees; Black bass are good on light colored spinnerbaits, topwaters, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on topwaters and silver spoons. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK Water murky; 74 degrees (82 degrees at hot water discharge); 98.22’; Black bass to 8 pounds are good on soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 6 - 10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 10 pounds are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish to 18 pounds are good on trotlines baited with liver, perch, and shrimp.

COLORADO CITY Water clear; 67 degrees; 4' low; Black bass are slow. Crappie are slow. White bass are slow. Redfish are slow. Catfish are slow. COLORADO RIVER (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water murky; Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and nightcrawlers in deeper water. Yellow catfish are slow.

CONROE Water murky; Black bass are fair on watermelon seed spinnerbaits and Carolina-rigged soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver.

COOPER Water stained; 65-68 degrees; 5.5’ low; Black bass are fair to good on white spinnerbaits, plum lizards, and Brush Hogs in 1 – 4 feet. Crappie are good on minnows in the creeks. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared baits.

DUNLAP/MCQUEENEY Water stained; 67 degrees; Black bass to 5 pounds are fair on 3/8oz. and 1/2oz. white spinnerbaits, and on 3/8oz. black/blue Oldham’s Jigs in 8 - 15 feet near docks and along the outer edges of lily pads in 3 - 5 feet. White bass to 2 pounds are good on live minnows, and on 1/4oz. and 1/2oz. chrome/blue back Rat-L-Traps in 2 - 5 feet on main lake flats and upriver around brush in 5 - 8 feet. Crappie are excellent on live minnows and white 1/8oz. jigs near brush in 5 - 8 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 15 pounds are excellent on shrimp and shad near the powerhouse in swift water in 8 - 10 feet. Yellow catfish to 12 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with live perch in the mouths of creeks in 15 - 20 feet.

FAIRFIELD Water clear; 70-80 degrees; 3.5’ low; Black bass are excellent on white Bass Assassins or flukes, and Pop-R's above the grass on secondary points and main lake flats. Carolina-rigged watermelon lizards and Baby Brush Hogs are producing off the edges of the grass in 5 - 9 feet and off secondary points concentrating on the mid lake area. If you are looking for bigger bass fish a Carolina-rig on main lake points in 10 - 15 feet. Hybrid striper are good on white/chartreuse slabs and live shad on main lake points. Redfish are slow on live shad in the inlet cove and around the dam. Bow fishing for tilapia is good in the back of coves. Catfish are good on prepared baits and live shad on main lake flats.

FALCON Water clear; 70 degrees; 280.47’; Black bass to 4 pounds are good on soft plastics in brush over points, humps, and drop-offs in 2 - 10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on Charlie slabs and silver spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs at night. Catfish are excellent on shrimp, live bait, and stinkbait. The state park and Zapata County ramps are open, as are the ramps at most of the RV parks. The ramp at El Tigre Island is closed, and the San Ignacio ramp is open only for small boats. Both a Mexican fishing license and Mexican boat permit are required to fish the Mexican side of the lake.

FORK Water lightly stained; 64-68 degrees; Black bass are fair to good on white Lockhart 1/4 or 3/8oz. spinnerbaits and chartreuse/brown Rat-L-Traps fished over and on the edges of hydrilla. Watermelon/red, green pumpkin red, or red bug trick worms (for wacky-rigs) are productive early around lily pad stems and grass flat areas. Bass are shallow - make sure to fish all the way to the back of coves and creeks. Crappie are good on minnows and Road Runners on the flats and in the backs of coves and creeks. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and Redneck’s Catfish Bait Soap.

FT. PHANTOM HILL Water clear; 66 degrees; 16' low. Black bass are fair. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair. Catfish are fair.

GIBBONS CREEK Water murky; Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and shallow-diving crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are fair on shrimp, nightcrawlers, and stinkbait.

GRANBURY Water murky; Black bass are very good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and blue/white Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on silver crippled herring spoons and striper jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on cheesebait, liver, and nightcrawlers.

GRANGER Water murky; 65 degrees; 504.30'; Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits in the mouth of the river. White bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows in 1 - 2 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on perch and cut shad. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch and goldfish.

GRAPEVINE Water fairly clear; 65-69 degrees; 2.79’ low; Black bass are fair on green gourd lizards, spinnerbaits, and camo jig-n-pigs in 2 - 8. Crappie are fair to good on chartreuse Crappie Thunders and minnows in the coves and creeks. White bass are fair on silver glitter TailHummers and slabs. Catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

GREENBELT Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; 21.5' low; Black bass are good on watermelon jigs and shad-colored spinnerbaits worked near structure and main lake points with some topwater action. Crappie are good on jigs and live bait. White bass are good along the dam. Smallmouth bass are fair. Walleye are good. Catfish are good on live and prepared baits.

HOUSTON COUNTY Water stained with clear shallows; 67 degrees; Black bass to 7 pounds are good on watermelon Wacky Worms and Sink-Os, and on white spinnerbaits in 5 - 8 feet. Crappie are slow on live minnows around piers in 15 feet. Bream are fair on live worms under piers. Catfish to 4 pounds are fair on trotlines baited with perch.

HUBBARD CREEK Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 17.4' low; Black bass are good on live bait, and soft plastics in greens and chartreuse near structure. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass and hybrid striper are good on live bait. Catfish are good on live bait and prepared baits.

JOE POOL Water off color; 66-69 degrees; 0.21’ high; Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed lizards, black/red shad Mad Man Craws, and spinnerbaits in 2 - 6 feet in creeks and shallow pockets. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and Road Runners. Catfish are fair on cut and prepared baits.

LAKE O' THE PINES Water clear; 68-69 degrees; 0.4’ high; Black bass are fair on chartreuse/white buzzbaits, Zara Puppies, and Texas-rigged 10” blue fleck worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in coves and around structure. Catfish are good on trotlines set at night with bloodbait and bank fishing with nightcrawlers in 3 – 4 feet.

LAVON Water fairly clear; 63-69 degrees; 2.58’ low; Black bass are fair on Lockhart white/chartreuse spinnerbaits, Texas-rigged Gene Larew black/blue tube jigs, and 5” black/blue or green pumpkin lizards in 1 - 8 feet on the secondary points with stick-ups and stumps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

LBJ Water muddy; 68 degrees; 824.93’; Black bass are good on ½oz. white/blue/chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, grape Scoundrel worms on wacky rigs, and white Snap Back jerkbaits in clearer water in 2 - 6 feet. White bass are fair trolling Shad Raps, white 3in. grubs, and Spoiler Shads early. Crappie are fair on 1/32oz. white Curb's crappie jigs, blue chartreuse Swirltail grubs, and live minnows over brushpiles in 14 feet. Channel catfish are very good. Yellow and blue catfish to 21 pounds are very good on trotlines.

LEWISVILLE Water fairly clear; 66-68 degrees; 3.44’ low; Black bass are good on flukes, lizards, and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

LIVINGSTON Water fairly clear; 70 degrees; Black bass are good on soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Charlie slabs, Hellbender/Pet Spoon combos, and Rat-L-Traps in the main lake. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on cutbait, prepared bait, and shad. Yellow catfish are good on live bait.

 MACKENZIE Water lightly stained; 55 degrees; Black bass are fair on shad-colored spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and dark jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass and striped bass are good on live baits. Smallmouth bass are fair on shad-colored crankbaits. Walleye are fair on crankbaits and live bait. Catfish are fair prepared baits and live bait.

MARTIN CREEK Water clear; 69-80 degrees; normal pool; Black bass are good on white buzzbaits and Zara Spooks in the shallows, and off main lake points on Carolina-rigged blue fleck french fries and Arkansas Shiner flukes. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over submerged brushpiles. Catfish are good on trotlines set in 18 feet. Bream are excellent on red wigglers in 4 feet.

MEDINA Water clear; 68 degrees; 1064.65'; Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are very good on Catfish JuJu, frozen shrimp, cheesebait, and chicken livers in the backs of spring-fed creeks and the river in 4 - 12 feet. Yellow catfish are very good on live minnows, perch, and goldfish on juglines and trotlines in 14 - 22 feet.

MEREDITH Water lightly stained; 59 degrees; 35' low (exercise caution during low water conditions); Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and jigs around rocky points. Crappie are good on live bait and jigs. White bass are fair on live bait and crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are fair. Walleye are good in late afternoon and evenings near shallows. Channel catfish are fair. The Marina Ramp is only ramp open.

O.H. IVIE Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 26' low; Black bass are fair on live baits, shad-colored spinnerbaits, and dark jigs or soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live bait. Smallmouth bass are fair. Channel catfish are good on live baits.

OAK CREEK Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 26' low; Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on live bait and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines with live bait. No boat ramps open. 4x4 vehicles can unload on the dirt road near the dam.

PALESTINE Water fairly clear; 65-69 degrees; normal pool; Black bass are good on green pumpkin/red shad Mad Man Craws, spinnerbaits, and black/blue lizards in the shallow and off main lake points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are slow to fair on live shad. White bass are good on slabs and torpedoes. Catfish are fair to good in the shallows.

PALO DURO Water lightly stained (from wind); 55 degrees; 51' low; Black bass are fair. Crappie are good on live bait and jigs. Smallmouth bass are fair. Walleye are fair. Catfish are good on prepared baits.

POSSUM KINGDOM Water clear; 64 degrees; 7.5' low; Black bass are fair. Crappie are fair. Larger white bass and smaller striped bass are fair in the upper lake areas towards the river. Channel catfish are fair on trotlines and juglines in the upper end of the lake.

PROCTOR Water clear; 65 degrees; Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

RAY HUBBARD Water fairly clear; 66-69 degrees; 1.99’ low; Black bass are fair to good on green flukes, Carolina-rigged pumpkinseed french fries, and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs and Road Runners. Hybrid striper are slow. Catfish are fair to good on cutbait.

RAY ROBERTS Water off color; 65-68 degrees; 2.39’ low; Black bass are fair on blue fleck lizards, chrome Rat-L-Traps, and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around structure. White bass are fair on white Road Runners and chartreuse slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

RICHLAND-CHAMBERS Water stained; 69-75 degrees; normal pool; Black bass are excellent on Texas-rigged watermelon or cotton candy lizards in the back of the creeks and off secondary points, also on black/blue jigs or spinnerbaits around the mid area of the creeks. White bass and hybrid striper are good on white/chartreuse or chartreuse slabs on main lake humps and secondary points. Crappie are good on minnows in the mouth of the creeks around brush. Catfish are good on juglines with live shad set off the main creek channels and flats.

SAM RAYBURN Water stained; 66 degrees; Black bass are fair on watermelon/red Carolina-rigged worms and lizards around flooded buck brush, and on red Senkos and wacky worms over submerged grass in 8 - 12 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs and white Road Runners. Striped bass and hybrid striper are slow on slabs, live shad, and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on cut bait.

TEXOMA Water fairly clear; 63-68 degrees; 5.95’ low; Black bass are fair on weightless flukes, spinnerbaits, and blue fleck lizards. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad and chartreuse slabs – sporadic topwater bite early and late. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.

TOLEDO BEND Water stained; 65 degrees; Black bass are fair on watermelon seed Senkos and wacky rigged worms over grass in 8 - 12 feet, and on Carolina-rigged soft plastics in the south end of the lake. Crappie are good on minnows and tube jigs over planted brush and around standing timber in 10 - 20 feet. Catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

TRAVIS Water clear; 65 degrees; 3’ low; Black bass to 7 pounds are good on red shad flukes, shad Yum Dingers, and smoke grubs in 5 - 15 feet. Striped bass to 4 pounds are fair on smoke grubs and white spinnerbaits in 5 – 12 feet. White bass to 1 pound are fair on white crankbaits, crippled herring spoons, and speed traps in 10 – 20 feet. Crappie to 1 pound are fair on minnows and blue and white tube jigs in 10 – 18 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 5 pounds are fair on cheesebait and fresh cutbait in 15 - 30 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

TYLER Water fairly clear; 65-68 degrees; 2.86’ low; Black bass are fair to good on white trick worms, cotton candy french fries, and black/blue lizards. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs around shallow structure. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared baits. Bream are fair to good on red wigglers.

WALTER E. LONG Water clear; Black bass are good on soft plastics, crankbaits, and minnows in shallow water among reeds. Hybrid striper are good on shrimp, minnows, and striper jigs in 5 - 40 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows in 18 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp in shallow water. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITE RIVER Water stained (from wind); 57 degrees; 21' low; Black bass are fair on shad-colored crankbaits and live baits with some topwater action. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Walleye are fair. Channel catfish are fair.

WHITNEY Water stained; 4' low; Black bass are good on ¼oz. white Road Runners over grassy areas. Striped bass are fair on 4 – 6 inch gizzard shad. White bass are very good on ¼oz. white/marabou-tailed Road Runners up the Brazos River. Crappie are good on minnows and tube jigs in creeks and coves. Catfish are fair on cheesebait and shrimp in creeks in 6 - 10 feet.

WICHITA Water lightly stained; 67 degrees; Crappie are fair on minnows and Road Runner jigs along the dam. White bass are fair. Hybrid striper are fair. Channel catfish from 2 - 8 pounds are fair. The parking area behind the dam is blocked due to construction.
