Fiberglass drift boats with rod holders, breathable waders, rods that weigh less than a golf ball and titanium nippers that cost 40 bucks?  What gives with the newest whiz-bang, gizmos, and gadgets?

 Well actually, if the sticker shock doesn’t kill you………the rod holders imbedded in the new model Clackacraft boats allow me or my dog to rest on top of a $600.00 rod with out breaking it, the Cloudveil waders are 20% more breathable and 20% more durable!! (100 degree heat and a blackberry bush never felt so good) And the titanium nippers are so wicked sharp that airline security fears the worst should I board a plane with them.

I can board any plane, bus, taxi or boat with my hat, however; the ultimate fishing tool.  Like an offensive lineman never getting the touchdown, the fishing hat is the most unappreciated, soft spoken, behind the scene piece of equipment in continual use.  With technology ramping
