Jacks or Better - Zihuatanejo's only Roosterfish on the Fly Tournament!
Our excitement grows daily as calls come in for information on our second roosterfish tournament on the fly in beautiful Zihuatanejo, Oct. 5-10. "Z-what" is about 350 miles south of Mexico City. The locals tell us that October is the hot roosterfish month for the big Bubbas!

Zihuatanejo offers the best of both worlds: combining modern comforts, tropical beauty and village charms in one neat package. It is indisputably a charming, authentic small Mexican coastal town and the dream "getaway" talked about in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption."
There are numerous non-stop flights from the U.S.: Continental from Houston; Alaska from Los Angeles; and America West from Phoenix; plus many others. The Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport is located about 5 miles south of Ixtapa.

The most delicious Spanish lesson ever
The adventure is organized in two stages: At 10:30 a.m. you will meet your hostess, Carmen Elena. See and learn the Spanish names of the different herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables, while you shop for the ingredients of a delicious Mexican meal. (You can also purchase medicinal herbs from the local medicine man, or oils and candles that will guarantee to attract the love of your life, or bring you success and money).
The next step, the preparation of your very special dish in the home of our hostess. You may participate in the preparation, or just take notes. You will, of course, receive your recipe and detailed explanations in writing. While you feast on your creation, you will be served a variety of local juices, tea and wines.. A delicious experience to take home.
