| HISTORY
As the founders of Fisheyesoup.com we are self-professed fishing
addicts. When we're not staring at our square-headed computer screens
at the office, we're on the river, wading the flats or searching for the perfect fishing destination.
We have been involved in the fishing industry in a variety of ways - as fishermen, writers, photographers, guides, web site developers and as marketeers. This venture is a natural progression and evolution of our passion for the sport and our admiration for the people that work in the fishing industry.
We found ourselves constantly searching through tons of web sites,
looking for timely and accurate fishing reports, photos, articles,
trip specials, weather, river conditions and services.
It was nearly impossible to find the information. And, if we found the information it was out-of-date. After speaking
with a number of our clients (shops, manufacturers, writers, photographers) and fellow fishermen it became obvious. Build a major portal site "by fishermen for fishermen." After two years of research and one year in development, Fisheyesoup.com was launched on August 22, 2003.
Our vision is to build a high visibility web site for info hungry fishermen searching for information on fishing destinations around the world. Fishermen can plan fishing trips down to the smallest detail. We will build a worldwide network of professionals in the fishing industry who contribute information to a collective web site, and in turn, benefit from their contributions.
