Ruth Lake - September 16th, 2005
supplied by: Al Brown's Guide Service
FISHING: Good
This lake sees very little pressure this time of year but is a great lake for bass as well as trout. The mouth of the Mad River will be good for trout. For the bass, which are staging, head to the northeast side of the lake where the water is shallower and throw Senkos, swimbaits or jigs in crawdad colors.

McCloud River - September 16th, 2005
supplied by: Al Brown's Guide Service
FISHING: Great
Still going like gang busters on the lake and river where Wooly Buggers or Orange Sally’s on the river for fish to 12 to 15 inches are coming in. River and creeks are running very clear so present downstream where they can’t see you. For the lake you can throw almost anything as they are getting hungry. Throw it in and you got fish. Trout to14 inches are common now with rainbows being the best bet.
