Little Lava Lake - July 29th, 2008
supplied by: Fly and Field Outfitters
FISHING: Good
Little Lava is fishing similar to Lava. Do not forget terrestrial patterns here. Trout get pretty selective when there is an ant fall on the lake. The wise fly fisher would carry a few different ant patterns in their boxes.

Grindstone Lakes - private - June 16th, 2008
supplied by: Carbone's Flyfishing Guide Service
RECORDED:

FISHING: Great
GRINDSTONE LAKES -- We are having good surface activity. A parachute adams works very well under these conditions. Adult damsels are beginning to show up. Fishing with a sink tip and nymphs is very productive as always. This is great fishing. Don't miss your opportunity to catch a trout of a lifetime on a fly.
A FAVORITE PATTERN-- Damsel Nymph size #10 and Parachute Adams size #14 Visit Grindstone Lakes. This is a great time to experience Grindstone Lakes and the high desert for some excellent flyfishing for trophy trout.

South Santiam River - June 14th, 2008
supplied by: The Flyfishers Place
FISHING: Poor
Snowmelt is still making its way through the entire Santiam system. Water levels are too high to fish effectively.
Check back with us in a week or so for further info.
The good news is steelhead season on the Santiams will extend later into summer.

Antone Ranch - private - May 2nd, 2008
supplied by: Go West Outfitters
RECORDED:
65 °
FISHING: Excellent
Report from Ron
Fishing over the weekend was awesome. The fish were some of the best that our group had ever caught. The top fish went around 14 lbs. Damsel nymphs are starting to work real well which is a sign of things to come. Once the blue damsel start showing themselves the sound of huge rainbows breaking the water will start as well. If you want to experience land locked steelhead on a dry fly you might want to book soon.

Grizzly Lake - private - May 1st, 2008
supplied by: Go West Outfitters
RECORDED:
58 °
FISHING: Excellent
I don't know how this lake does it, but of all the nine lakes that we manage Grizzly consistantly produces the best fighters and the biggest fish. John Gill's group reported the best day of fishing that they had experienced in years. The top fish was to big to even get in a net, but they estimated it in the high teens. Simply trolling leaches is all that it took. Water clearity is great and tight light resulted from good water temps and great fish activeity.

Nestucca River - April 6th, 2008
supplied by: The Fish House Outdoor Co.
RECORDED:
44 °
FISHING: Good
The North Coast Rivers, namely the Nestucca, are winding down for winter Steelhead. There are still fresh fish around but it is one here or there. We have nicer weather upon us and will see the first good push of summer Steelhead shortly, and the first springer will be caught soon. We are expecting a great summer Steelhead return this year, so it should be fun. The offshore closure does not affect the inland fishery at this time. We are really looking forward to the new season and the bumper crop of fresh summers. Hope to see you on the water soon. Jesse and Sara ZalonisThe Fish House Outdoor Co. www.fishhouseguideservice.com

FISHING: Excellent
Bass fishing is really great right now. We had our first bass fishing tournament yestarday and it was a great success. Most everything was subsurface, but there was plenty of action. One angler caught 37 fish for the day. Spinners and plastic worms were the top choice.
