The Bogacheil is in great shape running at 27.21ft with 6 ft of vis.
The Hatchery winter steelhead are here and i mean here and in big numbers. The fish are spread out from the hatchery down to the mouth. The best fishing will be around the hatchery and down stream for the first couple of miles.
With this low clear water the best techniques have been float fishing or plug and diver/bait combo. If your float fishing stick with small jigs in cerise, pink/white, white, white/peach, black/red and purple/pink. The best jigs are the hackle series Aero Jigs in this low clear water. I have also had some great success with floats and eggs. Use a cheater bait weight in 1/8oz in flame or pearl pink with steelhead orange, red or pink yarn. Use a more nautral colored eggs in the clear water.
If you are pulling plugs stick with K-9 kwikfish or my favorite X-4 flatfish. For the low clear flows stick with silver, silver/red dots, flame red, flounder, blue streak, green hornet or green weenie.
If you like to run divers and bait stick a brads diver or hot-n-tot with a 4ft leader and a aerofly and fresh sandshrimp.
This is only going to get better over the next couple of weeks.

The Bogy is in great shape running at 27.94 with 4 ft of vis.
The Kings and silvers are spread out fromthe 101 bridge all the way to the mouth.
Kings are mostly being caught on Kwikfish or Flatfish in silver/chart, silver/met pink, met pink, mad clown, blue scale or Blue scale/chart, or Seahawk. As the water drops you can fish floats and eggs in the deeper holes.
For the silvers it is a spinner or jig show. Spinners are best in a size 4 in silver/blue, silver/black, silver/purple, gold/red, gold/black or cooper.
If you are a jig guy then stick with pink, silver, white, purple or glo green.
Kings are starting to slow down but the silvers are still running strong and will for the next couple of weeks.
It is that time of year when the first of the hatchery winter steelhead show up. so be looking for them around the hatchery area. The hatchery steelhead will start to show in bigger numbers over the next couple of weeks.

Fish are spread out through the entire system, you should be able to do any drift and catch some fish!
Lots of Winter Steelhead still pouring in along with a fair amount of Summer Steelhead showing up headed for the Calalwah.
The best techniques with the given water flows and color will be to pull plugs or sidedrift.
For plug pulling stick with Wordens Flatfish or Luhr Jensens kwiikfish in the smaller sizes. For colors i like to use Silver, Silver/red dots, Flame Red, Flame red/ red dots, green weenie, blue streak, michael jackson, flounder and green hornet.
For sidedrifting we have been using two #3 vision Hooks and a #12 cheater in flame, chart/red dots, green/red dots, rainbow, glo orange, orange clown and glo green. The best bait has been eggs cured in pink Borax-0- fire or prawns done the AGS way.
Remember that the river close after tomorrow until june.
