Calawah River - November 1st, 2009
supplied by: Angler's Guide Service
RECORDED:
54 °
FISHING: Poor
The Calawah is in poor shape running at 2200 cfs and 1 ft of vis.
It will be fishable tomorrow but still just alittle high and colored. Stick with big plugs and large spinners.
Both Kings and SIlvers are spread out from the 101 bridge all the way down to the mouth.
If targeting Kings then stick to floats and eggs in the deeper holes. Pautzke egg cluster with either Sardine, Shrimp or Gralic oil have the best producers.
For Silvers stick with Blue Fox Spinners in #4 or #5's in Silver/blue, Silver/Purple, Silver/Black, Gold or Copper. Kings have also been chasing these downs so dont be surprised when you rear back and it is a 40 pounder.
This will stay real good for the next couple of weeks.
