FISHING: Fair
River is in good shape with 3 ft visibilty and meduim flow.
Hatchery spread out from queets all the way to copper mine bottom. More hatchery fishing showing up each day along with a few early nativer fish. Fish lots of water to search out few fish. I would stick with Plugs or sidedrifting bait.
Fish will get better towards first of the year.

Clearwater River - April 2nd, 2006
supplied by: Angler's Guide Service
RECORDED:
45 °
FISHING: Great
The Clearwater is up with a decent flow due to recent rains. There are plenty of fish spread through out the river with plenty of big fish still showing up.
Gear Tactics:
Side Drifting with eggs or pulling plugs are the best techniques with the water flow up. If SideDrifting float from Coppermine Bottom all the way to the Queets and keep moving to cover as much water as possible. If pulling plugs fish Tadpollys, X-4 or T-4 Flatfish in Silver, Silver/Red, Flame Red, Flounder, Green Back, Green Weenie, Blue Streak or Michael Jackson with Silver sides.
