Hoh River - October 12th, 2008
supplied by: Angler's Guide Service
RECORDED:
54 °
FISHING: Excellent
Hoh is in great shape with 4 ft of vis and med flow.
Kings spread out from mouth all the way to morgans landing. Best techniques have been pulling plugs or fresh herring. Plugs have been best in k-15 or k-13 in silver/char bill, silver/red bill, grinch, fickle pickle, pearl pink or mean green. Remember that you can not fish any bait above oxbow camp ground or keep any Wild Kings above Oxbow Campground until October 16th.
When fishing Herring use a size 20 diver and a 4 ft leader witha small dink float in the middle of the leader for floatant.
As water clears and gets lower a diver and aggs or a float and eggs will be very good.
Silvers are in in good numbers and spread out from mouth to Morgans landing. Spinners will be the best technique. Use silver with color or copper.
This will only get better as weeks unfold. Check your regs before you fish this one as regs change.
