Hoh is dropping but still in poor shape running at 3170 cfs and 1 ft of vis. Give this a couple of more days without much rain and it will be back in shape.
There are a few Steelhead spread through the system. The name of the game here is cover water until you get a bite. If you find one work that area well. He should have some hard headed friends around as well!!!!
Top techniques picks: Float and jigs or worm, and pulling plugs Stick with bright pink colors until the water drops more.The steelhead in the past have been biting anything with pink in the early part of this run! This one is still out of shape and when if it comes into shape it will pretty much a silver show for another week or so. By Thanksgiving it will be mostly time to switch to winter Steelhead.
In the high colored water the best technique is K-13 or K-15 Kwikfish wrapped with Sardines or Tuna. Stick to Mr. Bill, Double Trouble, Mrs. Bill, Blue Scale, Met Pink or Green Hornet.
The silvers have been biting #4 vibrax spinners in Chrome/orange, Chrome/chart and chrome/blue. Casting jigs has also been working well in Pink, Pink/silver glitter, Chart/silver glitter and tutti frutti.
As soon as the water comes back down from this rain it will be very good for silvers.

Hoh is in poor shape running at 2500 cfs and 1 ft of vis.
Still a little high. Concentrate on the back sloughs and all the slow water.
Best techniques for these fall kings is pulling divers and herring or eggs in the deeper holes. Use a size #20 jet planer and a green label herring cut plugged or some of your best red salmon eggs tipped with shrimp, sardines or tuna..
The other technique that works good is K-13 or K-15 Kwikfish wrapped with Sardines or Tuna. Stick to Mr. Bill, Double Trouble, Mrs. Bill, Blue Scale, Met Pink or Green Hornet.
The silvers have been biting #4 vibrax spinners in Chrome/orange, Chrome/chart and chrome/blue. Casting jigs has also been working well in Pink, Pink/silver glitter, Chart/silver glitter and tutti frutti.
Both the Kings and Silvers will be in here for the next couple of weeks or so.
As soon as the water comes back down from this rain it will be very good for silvers and the last of the bright kings.
