Jemez Area Streams - June 26th, 2004
supplied by: The Reel Life
FISHING: Good
Jemez Area Streams:  Closed, except below Jemez Springs and below the "tunnels" on the Guadalupe.  No reports from those areas.

Sangre de Cristo Streams: Good reports from the Embudo and Pueblo.  Santa Barbara should also be good for those who can fish small pockets.  Expect the headwaters to be full and cold.

Fire Closures: Because of  potentail fire dangers, lots of spots are closed until our expected rainfall moistens the woods.
Jemez: all areas upstream of Jemez Springs including Fenton Lake are CLOSED including Fenton Lake.  Jemez Falls Campground (the campground only) is open.
Pecos: Within the Pecos Canyon area, only Dalton Canyon (road and canyon land) is closed.  Remaining trails and areas are open with restrictions.
Carson N.F.: Remains open with restrictions.

If you're planning a trip, call the Public Lands Information Center 505-438-7542 for the latest USFS, State Park or BLM news.  The latest US Forest Service news is also posted on the regioal website at www.fs.fed.us/r3/fire/swainfo/firerestrictions/nm_2_east-central.html
