FISHING: Good
Winter Steelhead fishing continues to be pretty good on the North Coast. A lot of people are really excited about changing focus to spring chinook as of late, but that just means less pressure on the rivers down here. The rain is back this week and the rising rivers should bring in another batch of bright fish. We are starting to find more wild fish, but hatchery fish are still available in a few rivers as well. We will get to springers but not until the steelhead fishing slows down. Here are a few pictures from the last week on the water. Contact us for available dates.

FISHING: Good
Winter Steelhead: As things simmered down from our week of raging blown out rivers, it was time to start hitting the rivers on the drop. Friday fished well with multiple shots on swung winter steelhead. Saturday was great with a guest that came all the way from PA getting on the board with a good one in the first run. A little bump in levels on Sunday, and looks good the next couple days. Time to get out there, winter steelhead is on.

FISHING: Excellent
Winter Steelhead fishing continues to be excellent for us most days here on the north coast with only one slow day to report this last week. The low and clear conditions had diminished the numbers of people but not the numbers of fish, but this most recent storm system will shake things up a bit. High water should bring in another big wave of bright fish and we will be fishing again in the next day or two. We are also still finding more hatchery fish than wild ones by a good margin. Here are a few pictures from the last week on the water. Contact us for available dates.

FISHING: Excellent
Winter Steelhead season is on! Great fishing for us most days here on the north coast over the last week. Despite low and clear conditions we are finding a LOT of willing fish. Double digit days have been the norm instead of the exception. We are now making up time for the slow start to this winter steelhead season. Several different rivers are fishing well at the moment, so we have options as the weather and water levels fluctuate. We are also still finding more hatchery fish than wild ones, but that will change as the season wears on. Here are a few pictures from the last week on the water. Contact us for available dates.

FISHING: Great
Winter Steelhead season got off to a slow start this year with several weeks of cold dry weather and too little water to bring the fish upriver, but all that has changed and now is the time to fish. Here are a few pics from the last three days on the water. Contact us for available dates.

FISHING: Good
WINTER STEELHEAD REPORT: So the last week fished pretty well. Most systems where on the drop and had plenty of fish around. The North Umpqua trips fised well, nice to have some fish around and plenty of bright beautiful hens. The bucks we did find seemed for that high in the system and this late really bright. Must be a late push. We'll take it. There is a couple weeks left. If you need a fix on winter steelhead, it is not to late. If rivers are in shape get out there. For booking information see below.

A Yo-Yo is the first thing that comes to mind after this week on the coast. River levels could not stabilize but despite the up's and down's there are more than enough chrome bright steelhead to make it worth getting out on the water. We picked our days and had some great fishing. Here are a few pics from this last week, more on the way. On a different topic, Spring Chinook are starting to show in smaller numbers already on the big C. We will be running springer trips on the coast as the fishable number start to climb in a few weeks. FISHING: Good
The rivers are on the rise again on the north coast but it's not a big system so we should be fishing in a couple of days. We had a surprise or two this week as one of our favorite rivers that we tend to overlook this time of year has been kicking out some quality winter steelhead. We are still finding some nice keepers mixed in with the mid season natives as well. Here are a few pics from this week.

FISHING: Good
Steelhead fishing here on the north coast continues, but not at the level we saw last month. We continue to find bright fresh fish(see recently added pics in out photo gallery) but catch rates are back down to 2-5 fish per day on average. We did not have as many fish as we expected pull into the rivers up north during this last high water event. The result is that instead of a huge push of fish, we are seeing them continue to trickle in on the high tides. Today is a down day to catch up on things that have been put on the back-burner for far too long already. Things should fish a bit better at the tail end of this arctic cold front.
