Steelhead fishing is great for both traditional techniques and on the fly. Use stones flies and copper johns.
Salmon fishing is good. You'll have to see day to day what the fish want. Egg patterns or plugs.

The salmon have been moving up the river and have been biting. use quick fish and bounce roe. For trout use any streamers or stone and salmon flies.

Spring Chinook are being caught in good numbers from Gold Beach all the way to Shady Cove. Drifting roe is the most effective tactic right now, but as water temperatures rise expect fish to more readily attack plugs.
Salmon and Golden Stone hatches are now underway on the river providing good opportunities for trout fishermen to go after Rainbows and Cutthroat.

Steelhead are in the river in good numbers and in the mood to play. Look for fish to be postioned downstream of spawning Chinook Salmon. Try nymphing dark stonefliy patterns under an indicator with a caddis dropper or a Split Wing Hilton. Stop in at the FlyWay Shop to pick up any river specific flies.

Try nymphing dark stonefliy patterns under an indicator with a caddis dropper or a Copper Johnson. Stop in at the FlyWay Shop to pick up any river specific flies.
