Sol Duc is in great  shape with unlimted vis and less than 0 boards.
Fish seem to be much more selective in what they bite.  Smaller sized lures are the way to go! Water is very low use caution when floating the Sol Duc.  Fish slow and watch for fish.

Sol Duc is in great  shape with unlimted vis and 0 boards.
Fish seem to be a little more agressive in the lower end.  Water is very low use caution when floating the Sol Duc.  Fish slow and watch for fish.

Sol Duc is in great  shape with 12ft of vis and low flow (2 boards). Some kings are spread from mouth all the way to the Hatchery. Best techniques have been  a diver and eggs or a float and eggs.  Plugs have been best in k-15 or k-13 in silver/char bill, silver/red bill, grinch, fickle pickle, pearl pink or mean green.When fishing .Silvers are showing up in big numbers. Spinners will be the best technique. Use silver with color or copper.This will only get better as weeks unfold.

Sol Duc is in great  shape with 4ft of vis and low flow.

Kings will spread out from mouth all the way to the Hatchery. Best techniques have been pulling plugs or fresh herring. Plugs have been best in k-15 or k-13 in silver/char bill, silver/red bill, grinch, fickle pickle, pearl pink or mean green.

When fishing Herring use a size 20 diver and a 4 ft leader witha small dink float in the middle of the leader for floatant.

As water clears and gets lower a diver and aggs or a float and eggs will be very good.

Silvers showing up in big numbers. Spinners will be the best technique. Use silver with color or copper.

This will only get better as weeks unfold.

River teaming with Summer Steelhead, Summer Silvers and Cutthroat Trout.

Most of the summer Steelhead and Summer Silvers are stacked up from the middle run up to the Hatchery with more fish as you get closer to the hatchery.

Steelhead fishing has been good with small floats and jigs in dark colors or very small pieces bait. Throwing spoons in met blue or met purple or gold has been very good.

If your after summer silvers then the best way to catch them is to cast small jigs in purple or pink/purple. You can also fly fish these guys with a small purple or black flies.

The fly fishing for Cutthroats with drys has been great. The best flies have been october caddis, dry muddlers or spiders with a peacock body.

The fall salmon will start to show up more by the end of the month.
