Location:
George's Point Villas are located on the central east coast of Andros Island, Bahamas, where Fresh Creek meets the sea. Our beautiful villas face the Tongue Of The Ocean inside the world's 3rd longes barrier reef. This superb location is ideal for our guests to enjoy some of the greatest Fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and bird watching in the world!
Transportation:
Traveling to Andros Island usually requires a stop in Nassau. Currently, there are no direct commercial flights into Andros Town (Central Andros) International Airport from the USA. Several airlines do fly daily into Nassau from various USA cities.
Western Air provides twice daily 19 passenger Metro service From Nassau to Andros Town Airport (Central Andros). Flight time is approximately 15 minutes and costs $50.00 per person one-way ($90.00 round trip per person).
A different and very enjoyable option is to travel by boat. The Fast Ferries "Sea Link" and "Sea Wind" make several trips between Nassau and Fresh Creek each week. The voyage is 2hr 35min. The current cost is $60.00 roundtrip. They dock at Potter's Caye Dock, Nassau, near Paradise Island
Fly you own plane. The AndrosTown International Airport (ASD) is a 'Port of Entry'. Customs is open between 9:00am and 5:00pm, 7 days a week. Overtime can be arranged by calling Customs & Immigration at (242) 368-2030. There are no customs fees for truly "private" pilots (this does not apply to corporate jets or commercial planes). Runway 09 / 27 is 4,200 feet. No Fuel. UNICOM 172.8.
Rates:
Rates are double occupancy.
Daily Rates (3 night minimum) $ 80.00
Weekly Rates (7 consecutive nights) $500.00
Special Events (4 Night Minimum)
Crab Fest Weekend $200.00 Per Night
Andros Island Regatta (July 4-12) $110.00 Per Night
Christmas Holidays (Dec 17 - Jan 3) CLOSED
Additional charge of $40 per extra person per night. 4 persons per villa max.
Maid Service:
The prices above do not include daily maid service. Guests are responsible for their own housekeeping. Daily maid service can be arranged, in advance, for and additional charge of $35 per day.
Children:
No children under 12. While we love kids, Georges Point Villas is just not set up to accommodate small children
Payment Options:
We prefer cash, USA or Bahamian dollars.
We Accept USA dollar Traveler's Checks.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 5% processing fee.
We will accept EUROs and Canadian dollars at the current exchange rate plus 5% processing fee.
Documentation required:
U.S. citizens must have either an Original Birth Certificate (Or certified copy with raised seal) and a government issued photo ID; or a valid Passport in order to enter the Bahamas. A Driver's Licenses alone is not sufficient identification for entry into the Bahamas, (or back into the USA). Citizens of other countries must have a Passport, and if required, a Visa . There is a $15 Bahamian departure tax (cash) per person age 7 and older.
