They are the regional experts! They also offer trips to; The Nisga’a Memorial Lava Beds in the Nass Valley north of Terrace. Stewart, BC & Hyder, Alaska to view Grizzly Bears and Glaciers. They are developing First Nations Tour to Old Town Hazelton. This is a scenic location on the Skeena river right next to Moonlight Mountain.
From Prince Rupert, BC they offer the following: Salt water fishing, whale watching and some bear viewing on the Khutzeymateen. Plan your visit based on what you want to do Bear viewing is best in the spring time. March, April and early May and then again in the fall September October and November. Bird watching is also good in the spring and again in the fall. Whale watching is best in July and August. Saltwater fishing starts in May, June and July for Chinook salmon then from late July through mid September for Coho. The halibut and other bottom fish are May through September. Fresh water fishing is steelhead ten months of the year. January through May and again August through December. Chinook, Mid April through till August 15. Sockeye July and August. Pinks August and Coho August 15 through October 31st.
We also do river tours. Boat ride up some of the beautiful rivers viewing snow capped mountains, waterfalls and wild life, Have a nice shore lunch then return About the Tours All our tours are very unique. All the tours are 100 % guided with experienced & safe guides. All gear is provided if you do not have your own. When possible a shore lunch is provided. In Terrace there are Kermodei Bear and plenty of black and Grizzly bears. The best fresh water salmon and trophy Steelhead rivers in BC. Very unique First Nations villages, with totem poles and gift shops.
Prince Rupert is also the salt water salmon capital of BC. Some of the best halibut fishing in the world is out of Prince Rupert About Skeena Wilderness Fishing Charters Boats For Saltwater fishing they use Grady White boats. Freshwater fishing they use Aluminum jet boats, rafts, drift boats and do helicopter fishing The experience that visitors will have will be incredible and they will never forget it! How to get to Terrace or Prince Rupert Visitors can either fly, drive or take the train into Terrace. They can either fly, drive, take the train or the ferry to get to Prince Rupert.

Accomodations: Our accommodations are a bed and breakfast style lodge. Very comfortable. We can acommodate up to eight guests. The meals are home cooked Canadian cuisine. Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to Terrace. You can get here by airoplane, train, Bus or by car. Once you arrive in Terrace we will then meet you there and transort you to our lodge. After you are here we will look after you and supply your transportation back to the airport, train or bus depot. Directions: If you are traveling by air there are at least four non stop flights per day directly from Vancouver. If you are traveling by car you will be coming from the east on highway 16 west. You can also travel to Prince Rupert by ferry boat and then make a one and a half hour drive to Terrace. Nearby activities and attractions: Near by Terrace there is Mount Laton hot springs. Only fifteen minute from town. It is one of the few natural hot springs in British Columbia. Lakelse Lake another very nice attraction. Native villages with totem poles and gift shops. Plenty of fishing activities right near town.
Season: We are open all year round. Fishing and all the Eco tours is March through December. Winter sports like snowmobiling and skiing is more in January, February and March. Water/Weather Conditions: The weather is best March through October. The water conditions vary with the rains and the run off. Spring run off is usually in late May, June and early July. The rains are in September and October. Rates: 2005 FISHING RATES FRESH AND SALT WATER Skeena wilderness is licensed to fish all the classified and unclassified rivers in the Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert area. Our classified rivers include the Skeena 2, Zymotez ( copper ) class 1, Zymotez ( copper ) class 2, Kalum, Gitnadiox and Kwinamass plus all the unclassified rivers. Our rates for the classified rivers are different then for the unclassified rivers. We also do accommodations with meals. Our rates are in U.S. dollars. The reason for the difference is that the classified rivers are very restricted to the amount of guided anglers. This makes for a much better experience. I am limited to how many anglers that I can guide in a season. We charge on a per day basis. There is also a 7% gst. tax added to the total amount. This tax is refundable from our Govn`t. Accommodations with meals per day is $75.00 US. per person.
Unclassified rivers $350.00 per day per person, with accommodations $425.00 SKEENA class 2 is $ 425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 KALUM class 2 is $425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 ZYMOTEZ (copper) 2 $425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 ZYMOTEZ (copper) 1 $425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 GITNADIOX class 1 $425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 KWINAMASS class 2 $425.00 per day per person, with accommodations $500.00 If you wish to helicopter fish, we do that also.
In August, September and October the upper Copper and upper Clore for dry fly fishing steelhead, The Kwinamass, Kincolith and Ishkheenickh in April and May for spring run steelhead.
We also do SALT WATER fishing out of Prince Rupert or Kitimat. We have a beautiful Grady White boat. We charge $800.00 per day for one or two, $900.00 for three & $1000.00 per day for four anglers. plus a 7 % gst tax. We fish for Chinook, Coho, Halibut and Bottom Fish. Try fly fishing for Coho when in season. We want your business. We will guide you one day or as many days as you like with or without accommodations and meals.

Deposit: We ask for a 50 % deposit as soon as you commit to some dates. If you have to cancel, we will let you rebook at no extra charge. Documentation required: If you are coming from outside of Canada you will need a passport. Angling licenses are required. They can be purchased at most tackle stores. We also have angling licenses. Other information: Skeena Wilderness Fishing Charters has all the classified and unclassified rivers in the Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert area under it`s license. We are the only guiding company that has al the licenses. This is very impotant. You will not be restricted where you can be guided if you book with us.
