Experience the passion...Peacock Passion!

Let us host you on an Amazon Fishing Expedition into the remote interior reaches of the Amazon Rain Forest in search of what some have come to call "the fiercest freshwater gamefish in the world" the Asu (pronounced assu)...the Grande Tucunare...the explosive Peacock bass.

The port of entry for our adventures begins in Manaus, Brazil. From there you will travel via float plane or fixed wheel aircraft to our remote destinations located deep in the interior of the Rain Forest on the rivers, lakes and lagoons of some of Amazonias most isolated but treasured fisheries.

It is quite possible that anglers may very well cast their lures to the surface of waters where the resident Peacock bass population have never seen an artificial lure. It seems that every year our guides locate new lagoons that have seldom been fished...sometimes virgin lagoons that were never fished.

The team at fishin expeditions is always available and egar to assist you in selecting and planning your next sportfishing adventure from a growing list of premier destinations located throughout the Americas.

For a taste of the Passion or the Angleing Adventure of a Lifetime give us a call or drop us an email and we'll begin planning your next fishin' expedition. Remember, at fishin' expeditions we take care of the details while you take care of the fishin'!

Accomodations:
The Amazon Voyager
Looking for a little luxury without sacrificing good fishing? If you are looking for an unforgettable sportfishing adventure, check out the Amazon Voyager. The Voyager is a six year old...but newly remodeled ...84’ long...three tiered fishing yacht that can navigate very shallow rivers to reach the remote fringe locations holding Big Peacock Bass. Rather than operate out of a fixed base camp, the Voyager and her experienced crew and guides spend six fishing days probing the Rio Negro, Rio Maderia and a newly discovered tributary with you...in search of the most productive fishing locations. The Voyager accommodates 10 anglers in five staterooms with each having a private bath. There is a large dining room and on the second level you will find the media room and lounge. The second level deck is the perfect palce for repairing tackle, jungle watching and serious star gazing.
The Amazon Explorer
For anglers seeking the most remote adventure destinations available in the interior reaches and  fringe, look no further than the Amazon Explorer. This shallow draft floating hotel, completely renovated in the summer of 2004, will be located on tributaries so isolated that the opportunity exists for an anglers cast to land on the surface of a lake or lagoon where the resident Peacocks have never seen an artificial lure. It will be moved on a regular basis to keep anglers in fresh fishing water. Fishing will be on lakes and lagoons which have seen no fishing pressure from either the commercial or the sport fishermen. There are no nearby villages and only a scattered number of locals who fish from small dugout canoes.
Remote capabilities with creature comforts...this is the Amazon Explorer. The newly refurbished accommodations include five staterooms. Each room is air-conditioned and has a private bath. There is a complete restaurant service, a comfortable gathering area and daily laundry service. Upstairs, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the Jungle as you prepare your tackle for another day of fishing. The fishing is from aluminum bass boats with swivel seats, outboard and trolling motor. The guides are seasoned “caboclos”, native fishermen who have fished the rivers commercially and guided sport fishermen  for years. Currently,  the Amazon Explorer is located in the upper regions of the Rio Unini and Rio Preto.
The Amazon Cutter
The Amazon Cutter...your home in the Amazon. Entering its’ third season of operation, the Amazon Cutter has quickly earned the reputation as the “go to” destination on the Unini River. Located just below the confluence of the Upper Unini and the Rio Preto, the Amazon cutter provides the flexibility of fishing in three different directions from a deluxe, self-contained fishing facility. No more tents or sandy walks to the dining room. Everything you need is in one convenient location. You will be delighted with the spaciousness of the entire facility. The bedrooms are on the lower level along with space for fishing equipment and an area to do repairs on your tackle after a day of multiple explosions! No more bunk beds in small rooms. Each bedroom has twin beds, extra storage spaces for luggage and a lockable compartment for your valuables
ables. Each bedroom has a roomy private bath  and an individually controlled air-conditioner. There is a large dining room where you will be served wonderful meals and then it is off to the air-conditioned lounge area. You will fish in comfort from 18 1/2’ aluminum boats with large casting platforms front and rear. You will be fishing  the Rio Unini ...called by many “The Big Fish River of the Amazon”. The Unini consistently produces quantities of “teeners” fish 13# - 19# and super-heavyweights or “monsters“ to 26#!

The Amazon Voyager, Cutter and Explorer are the perfect vessels for your Amazon Fishing Expedition. Learn more about them at http://amazonfishingexpeditions.com
