Crane Meadow Lodge

Crane Meadow Lodge is located just outside of Twin Bridges Montana. It is ideally situated at the edge of an 8000-acre ranch on the lower Ruby river. On my way to visit the lodge for the first time last summer I remember my excitement to see the lodge and fish the its fabled waters of the Beaverhead, Big Hole and the Jefferson. As expected neither let met me down. The lodge is classic comfortable Montana. There are four well-appointed cabins and a small main lodge that serves fresh down home meals. The host Cody Meine is a native to the area and has a great way of making you feel right at home.
The ranch turned out to be more of a wild game preserve than a modern day ranch. The substantial effort to make use of the land in a way that enhanced its native attributes was quite evident and after a day of touring it I had but forgotten about the rivers I was initially so excited to see. We visited the Ruby, Mill Creek, Leonard Spring Creek and Poindexter Slough. Along the way we saw several 4 point bucks roaming through barley fields and jumped many pheasant sneaking up the spring creeks. Best of all we were the only ones there.
Transportation:
The lodge is located just outside of Twin Bridges Montana. If you are flying it is best to fly in and out of Butte Falls or Bozeman Mt. The lodge can arrange a shuttle for $225 per round trip from Butte Falls or $285 from Bozeman.

Stays of varying lengths are available with their most requested five-day, six-night package running $2,675 per person based on double occupancy.
Included: Lodging, Guide (two people per guide), Meals, Pre-dinner cocktails & wine: (the lodge recommends to BYOB as selection is limited).
Not Included:
Transportation to and from the lodge, Fishing Licenses.(available at lodge), State accommodations tax, Tackle, The lodge has a small fly shop, Gratuities (10-15% of package price recommended)
