Location: Located on the northern tip of a private island in the heart of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve at the southern end of Ascension Bay, Casa Blanca is considered the region’s premier destination. The fishery centers on sight fishing for bonefish, permit, and tarpon but snook, snapper, jacks and barracuda are also present. Much of the fishing is done from 16ft Dolphin Skiffs but wade fishing is also common. Catch and release fishing is practiced for all of the primary species. Casa Blanca has the regions most experienced guides that are well suited to both beginning and expert anglers alike.
Accomodations: Casa Blanca has ten rooms, all with large baths, ceiling fans, and 110-volt outlets that accommodate all US appliances. Transportation: All trips to Casa Blanca and Playa Blanca start and end in Cancun, Mexico. From Cancun it is a short charter flight to the lodge. The charter flight is included in the price of the package.
Rates: One week packages based on double occupancy range from $3,075to $3,755 depending on season. Included: Accommodations, meals, guide fees (if fishing package is selected), and transfers from Cancun airport to the lodge, maid service and hand laundry. Not Included: Alcoholic beverages, phone service, gratuities ($30 per boat per day, Staff, $10 per person per day), transfers in Cancun, flies, departure taxes. Note, the lodge does not accept credit cards.
Documentation required: Be sure to have one of the following 1) a valid U.S. passport; 2) an original or certified copy of a birth certificate; 3) a current U.S. voters registration card. If you use a voter’s registration card or a birth certificate, each must be accompanied by a valid driver’s license. This documentation will be needed to obtain your Mexican Tourist Card. Keep your copy of the card with you during your stay. No inoculations are required. Also expect to pay a $12 (US) departure tax when leaving Mexico.
