spring creek that we fish (click image for detail) |
The Northern Patagonia Fishing Club was created to give a unique and authentic Argentine experience like no other. Reminiscent of northern New Mexico or southern Colorado, this region is home to several important rivers and lakes that are seldom fished. The majestic Rio Aluminé and it's various tributaries offer countless miles of quality fly fishing. The specialty of the rich, gentler waters of this region is some of the finest 'match-the-hatch' sight-fishing that Patagonia has to offer. Our skilled energetic guides (born and raised in Aluminé) are expert in the subtelties of finesse fly fishing, often using flies down to size #24's and tippets to 7X. We cater to small parties and offer a variety of custom programs, including a 90-mile/6 day float on the entire flotable length of the Aluminé River.
Location: Located in Aluminé, Neuquen Province in extreme northern Patagonia, Argentina.
Accomodations: Tent camps for overnight float trips. We have an exclusive private ranch house (our 'lodge') in Aluminé for most of our fishing programs. To access the private waters of the Rio Quillen, we will use the Estancia Rio Quillen Lodge whenever appropriate. Transportation: Transfers from Chapelco Airport (1 hour 45 minutes) are included.
Season: General fishing season is from November - May. Rates: $3200 per person/week (6 days, 7 nights)
