If the daunting task of wading the North Umpqua, or "ice skating" the slippery rocks of the Deschutes keeps you from hooking Summer Steelhead, we have great news for you. You can fish the World Famous Rogue River from the comfort of your guides drift boat. If you are unable to wade safely, or just want to travel light with out waders the Rogue is for you. All our guides have stable ClackaCraft driftboats with LEVEL floors and leg braces for low fatigue fly fishing all day from the comfort of the boat. No crawling in and out of a boat or steep river canyons all day. Cover the dreamiest pools on the river with short casts as your guide holds you in the perfect position. Upper Rogue River Summer Steelhead Fly-Fishing spans from July to November. The Upper Rogue River above Gold Ray Dam (just a short drive from Medford, OR.) is fly-fishing only in September and October. Many years 10,000 or more Summer Steelhead will return to the Upper Rogue region, which is over 25 miles of river. This is a tremendous count of 400 Summer Steelhead per mile. 70% of the Summer Steelhead above Gold Ray Dam are marked hatchery fish headed back to Cole Rivers Hatchery. Nearly all Summer Steelhead crossing Gold Ray Dam are adult fish. Maximize your time on the Rogue River and book one of Trophy Waters guides for a memorable experience. Our guides are professionals who agree to work exclusively for the shop. Guiding is their business. When they are not working, they are out on the local waters improving patterns, techniques, and knowledge. You can expect to be with your guide for 8 hours on a full day trip, and sometimes up to 9 hours.
