Our steelhead season begins in August with a catch and release season on the Clearwater River and runs through January and Februry. The prime season begins in early October on the Snake River and mid October on the Clearwater. The Clearwater provides a great fishery for the larger B-run specimens (12 to 15 lb. average) while the Snake River fish are predominately A-runs in the 5 to 8 lb. range.

Inclusions: Trips include all tackle, bait, lunch, coffee, soft drinks and bottled water as well as cleaning of your catch. Accomodations: While we do not provide accommodations we are pleased to assist our guests in securing lodging at one of the many nice motels, RV Parks or camp grounds located within a few minutes of our fishing areas. Season: In addition to our Fall and Winter Steelhead fishing we offer exciting Spring trips for Chinook Salmon on the Clearwater, Spring and Summer Smallmouth Bass and Trophy Sturgeon fishing on the Snake River and Scenic Tours into Hells Cnayon. Water/Weather Conditions: The weather in the Lewis Clark Valley has earned it the nick name "The Banana Belt" and for good reason-our winter conditions tend to be quite mild and spring and fall months are very moderate with normal temperatures in the 45 to 60 degree range. Summer months can be warm to hot with normal temps in the 90s and into triple digits at times. Equipment Used: We provide the finest tackle and equipment for our guests use as well as Custom Built "Riddle Marine" jet boats for the convenience, comfort and safety of our guests. Our guests provide appropriate licenses, catch cards and personal items (camera, appropriate clothing, rain gear, sun screen, etc.) Rates: We do not mix our clients-whether the trip is booked for one person or several there will be no guests on the boat that you have not invited. Our standard day rates are $300.00 for one person, $380.00 for two people, $525.00 for three people and $620.00 for four people-plus applicable tax on all. Please contact us for special rates for larger groups, business packages and multiple day rates. Other information: We are licensed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the State of Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board and The Oregon Marine Board-we are bonded, insured and all guides are licensed by the US Coast Guard. Snake River Guide Service maintains a strict Drug and Alcohol testing policy compliant with Federal Regulations-all pilots are tested on a random basis to ensure the safety of our guests.
