Inclusions:
La Mariposa Resort has been lately the preferred destination for many Costa Rica's anglers.

A more sophisticated crowd have discovered a few years ago that an excellent fishing experience could be very well complemented by a stay at this gorgeous resort.

The hotel accepts simple accomodations without meals, as well as the inclusion of Breakfast, or MAP (Breakfast and Dinner a la carte) in their rates.

There is no better place to celebrate (and eat) the day catches as at "Le Papillon", an award winning restaurant, located on the gorgeous terrace of La Mariposa.  A class atmosphere, a very friendly staff committed to the guest's enjoyment, has been the "find" of many an angler.

Accomodations:
De Luxe Rooms, Junior Suites, Premier Suite and the ultimate prize, the Penthouse Suite, are all designed with nature in sight. Light and Air have apparently been the themes of the decorators.
Comfort in simplicity; Luxury in discretion, this is what you will find different in La Mariposa's accomodations.
Balconies and terraces are always present and inviting to spend some time in peace and contemplation of nature's beauty.

You can also get a "walkthrough" the hotel clicking on the butterfly on the right. Some nice views of different rooms are included.

La Mariposa is now well known by the expert anglers who descend on Quepos during the High Season (December to April). Even the "Green Season" when the catches although not so plentiful, is attracting now every day more fishermen, specially due to roosterfish and snook season.

Transportation:
From San Jose to Manuel Antonio and Hotel La Mariposa you have several choices.
1) Air - About 20 minutes from San Jose. You can book online at www.flysansa.com   or  www.natureair.com.  Nature Air doesn't fly from
San Jose International Aiport but another Airport 30 minutes away (by car).

2) Car with Driver. The Hotel can arrange for a van to pick you up, or you can pick a cab at the airport. Approximate price is $ 150 for 2 persons. The drive is about 3 hours.

3) Rent a Car. Roads are a little less than perfect and you should get good driving directions due to the lack of signs.

4) Buses. It's an alternative for the budget traveler, but beware of the buses which do not have a DIRECT route to Quepos or Manuel Antonio. You can find them online.

Nearby activities and attractions:
A stunning variety of attractions, excursions, tours and activities have made of Manuel Antonio the preferred tourist destination in Costa Rica.
